AMAM’s painting of St. John the Baptist by Tanzio da Varallo featured in Columbus exhibition
The AMAM’s painting St.   John the Baptist of circa 1618, by the northern Italian painter Tanzio da Varallo is part of an exhibition that opens today, October 21, at the Columbus Museum of Art.  “Caravaggio: Behold the Man!” features his painting Ecce Homo on loan from Genoa (Columbus’ sister city), as well as ten paintings from Ohio collections, including the AMAM’s.  The exhibition was curated by Dominique Vasseur, Director of Curatorial Administration, and Curator of European Art, at the Columbus Museum of Art, who is an alumnus of Oberlin  College from the class of 1973.
